Comments:

  • The 1958 map celebrated Minnesota's statehood centennial. The cover featured the official symbol of the centennial celebration.
  • The map key's border was stylized with various historic images.
  • The city insets and national map on the reverse side were removed to make room for a feature on Minnesota's roads at the time of statehood. The only other time this happened was in in 1949, the territorial centennial.
