Comments:

  • The 1942 map was the only map issued during World War 2. Stickers were added in 1943 through 1945 with the statement: "Due to wartime emergency conditions, the 1942 Minnesota Official Road Map will be issued for 194x".
  • The 1942 map was virtually identical to the map issued in 1941, other than various small cosmetic changes.
  • Nearly all signs that this map was issued in war time were relegated to the front and back covers, including the governor's message (see below).
